Amit Kumar Agarwal is an accomplished Engineering and Business Leader with over 19 years of experience in E-commerce, Supply Chain, Enterprise software, Telecom, and Networking industry. Currently, he is working as an Engineering Leader at Meta (Reality Labs - VR), where he is responsible for driving VR engagement and growth. Amit has built and managed highly productive teams across multiple geographies, and he possesses great mentoring and coaching skills. Amit is a multi-threaded leader who has led several strategic engineering projects, cross-functional initiatives, and change management in startup and established companies. He has also led the development of large-scale, distributed, and high available systems, big data platforms, and mobility software. Amit's past work experience includes working as a Software Development Manager at Amazon, where he was responsible for Supply Chain Optimization Technology (SCOT) - Inventory Planning and Control (IPC) and Amazon Selection and Catalog System (ASCS) - Selection Monitoring (SM). He enabled buying decisions for $120 Billion Amazon inventory every year through technology and planning and managing inventory in the world's largest Supply Chain network. He also built a high-scale Information Retrieval System to create the world's biggest catalog for Amazon through technical innovations in the Web and ML space. Amit has a PGDBA (Finance) degree from Symbiosis, a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Bhilai Institute of Technology, and he completed his schooling from Holy Cross Convent.
